About the Company
Boston Door Company, based in Cambridge, MA, has specialized in restoring and preserving historic and custom doors since 2008. Our work can be seen throughout the region in private residences, historic landmarks, and institutions such as Northeastern University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Boston University. Historic doors, often crafted from old-growth hardwoods that are no longer available today, represent a level of material quality and durability that modern production simply cannot match. At Boston Door Company, we honor that legacy by combining old-world craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail with the highest-quality materials and products available today.
Beyond historic preservation, we also repair, adjust, weatherize, and install entrance doors of every type—whether historic, custom, residential, or commercial. Our services address issues ranging from door alignment and finish carpentry to hardware installation and locksmith solutions, ensuring every entrance is both beautiful and functional. Our customers include private homeowners, homeowners associations, property management companies, universities, and businesses, all of whom rely on us for lasting solutions that respect the integrity and performance of their doors.
